Our Devon office continues to grow it’s reputation, as providers of the best measured surveys in the area. We continually hear complaints about the general quality of survey work produced by some of our competitors.
We have been busy measuring floor plans for two large hotel projects in Cornwall, elevations and floor plans on the Hoe :-
Lovely elevations of this property on The Hoe Plymouth
We have also completed many smaller projects too, including land surveys throughout Plymouth, Exeter and the South Hams area. We’ve measured boathouses in Salcombe and barns in Yelverton and all sorts of houses and cottages in between.
For more examples and information on the difference we can make to your project, see our main website www.adhorner.co.uk
It has been a very busy spring and summer for our teams based at our South West office, with land surveys of back gardens to industrial estates and large green field sites.
Measured building survey wise we have surveyed another 2 hospital sites and managed even to send a new assistant to a hospital mortuary on his first day ! Land and measured building surveying can certainly take you to some interesting places.
It can be really odd how you do not undertake any work in a particular area for a while, then a whole series of unrelated surveys happens in a particular location. For us this has recently occurred in Exeter.
We have undertaken several land surveys in Exeter in the last few weeks and a couple of measured building surveys within the city limits too. Variety is definitely one of the perks of the job of a land surveyor, coupled with being able to see a bit of once waste ground turned into housing or an income generating business location once more.
We have been so busy undertaking land and measured building surveys that there has hardly been a moment to blog about it. Spring has arrived seemingly both in terms of the weather and the amount of work that we have successfully quoted for. We have been particularly busy in the education sector, both public and private, primary schools to Universities, measuring floor plans, elevations and land surveys in Bath, Cheltenham, Cornwall, Devon, Worcester and Oxford. But with spring in mind here are some of the ladies we have recently encountered when measuring up around their barn !
With 21 years of experience in land and measured building surveying A D Horner Limited has measured many things in it’s time and although some of our staff have been surveying for 40 years, not even they can recall measuring dinosaurs ! As a photo opportunity though who could resist ?
Fortunately the dinosaurs were friendly and no major incidents occurred. If you want to visit these very friendly ones yourself you can at Torquay’s Dinosaur World
